Chippenham ASC synchronised swimmers competed at Taunton and brought the Walsall Trophy back to Chippenham.

Chippenham last took the Trophy in 2003. The club compted against teams from St Austell, Exeter, Taunton and Calne.

The competition is divided into four events - including three duet events and one team event.

In the skill level one duet event, Megan Gee and Ellen Gaunt, both 13, took first place with 11-year-olds Charity Moore and Abbie Drummond finishing fourth.

In the more demanding skill level two duets, 13-year- olds Harriet Byrne and Jessica Brayley took the bronze medal.

In the team event, Chippenham, captained by Emma Holloway, performed strongly, to show off the choreography and ability of the swimmers, and claim the silver medal.

Overall Chippenahm ASC came equal first with Exeter. third was St. Austell, fourth Calne Alpha 4 and in fifth place was Taunton.
