A 17-year-old girl was victim of a vicious sex attack in a wooded area in Green Lane, Devizes last night.
This morning police sealed off a footpath through trees leading to houses on the old Roundway Hospital site.
Police have been in the area all day talking to people who live nearby but have declined to release any details of the attack.
