ARMED police stormed two homes in Calne after reports a teenager was carrying an AK47 gun and threatening his neighbours.

The dispute arose after a woman in Bishop Road asked her next-door neighbour to turn his music down and she was pushed across his front garden.

Her teenage son appeared brandishing a firearm, later found to be a BB gun, and a violent argument arose between the two families.

In scenes neighbours described as terrifying, three police vans and more than ten armed police officers blocked off the street at 11pm on Saturday.

One neighbour said: "Suddenly all these police cars had blocked the street off and were shouting and screaming.

"The police didn't even bother to shut the doors of the vans they were in such a hurry. I saw three police officers push a lad down to the ground.

"I am scared to live on this road now if things like this are happening. I have even asked the council to move because my children are now too scared to go outside.

"All we could hear was smashing glass and screaming."

Police cordoned off the street and arrested an 18-year-old on suspicion of carrying an imitation firearm with intent and his neighbour on suspicion of assault.

The teenager was later charged and the neighbour released.

In a second twist to the street feud the father of the arrested teen came home at around midnight and tried to smash his neighbour's door down. He was later arrested and cautioned by police.

Yet More neighbours from hell, what a shame the police didn't shoot the little yob onthe spot.
Then I supose we'd have all the carp about what a little misunderstood angel he was, who was brilliant scholar, loved by all and was going to grow up and save the world. Are they related to anyone in Devizes by any chance ?

shed i dont think you know what happened but the lad in question was only pretecting his mother after she was launhed across her garden by a chap she had asked to turn his music down and the lad is no scholar he does have special needs and i would like to think that any child would pretect his family the neighbours in question are no angles they were also throwing glass bottles at the lads mother

No I dont know what happened, only what printed here, but then I still ask what kind of parent lets a kid with "special needs" own/play with an AK47 replica for gods sake?

whats wrong here is that any kind of this antisocial behaviour from either of these familes should be tolerated by the poor s*ds who have to live nearby.

the parent soon put a stop to the kid with the gun and yes your right we are poor sods who have to live in this street but as a rule it's normally quite a nice place to live i hope the lad gets off with a caution as it seems the neighbours have and they could have done more damage with the bottles they were throwing after all the gun was a replicar that was capped but who am i to judge i only seen what happened

You must live very close to me then lol.

i have known the family involved for just over five years and in that time they have been no bother .
the teenager involved i know him he sticks up for are skittles team .he has always been polite and seems a decent lad.
despite this.
if someone pushed your mother across a lawn, and chucked bottles what would you have done shook his hand?

it seems that we do live in the same street and i agree i have live hear for seven years now and not once have i had a problem with the family i hope the police realise that he was only pretecting his mother and let him off with a warning he's not a bad lad and i hope that he will soon be able to return home i think not being aloud to live at at his own home is stupid he cant do it again the police took the bloody gun

Perhaps he does deserve a light penalty and just a warning if he is genrally a nice kid as you all seem to say. But the use of some kind of fire arm cannot be condoned that was unacceptable and the police are right to take action as it was brought out this kind of thing with imitation weapons pellet firers air weapons etc does need to be stamped out hard

i agree but this lad really isn't like that he was genually pretecting his family

No what he did was wrong and nobody should ever condone a firearm.
but on the whole he is a good kid.

i wish i was black i could get away with all sorts.say it was racial and the pc brigade cause a up roar.

What lovely well rounded individuals you all are.
AK47's, pushing woman over, kicking neighbours doors in, well done for dumming down the human race a little bit.

Hopefully this article will be in the gazette this week and the boy in question will be cautioned for possession of a firearm at the very least!! It might prove as a deterrant for people in my village who think that firearms are cool and buy them to sell on but hide them where 9year olds can find them.
As for the comment about being related to people in devizes, if you think people in devizes all carry guns come down and meet anyone of us and i guarantee anyone you ask will not own a gun or know anyone that does! People in devizes dont generally need weapons, we use our fists!

Also the only time i have every known an armed response vehicle in my village is not when there have been reports of guns but when a fight kicks off which cant be brought under control by ordinary beat officers!!
